Seit vielen Jahren begeistere ich mich für die großen und kleinen „Geschichten“ aus der Münchner Vergangenheit. Nach zwei Ausbildungen zum Stadtführer begleite ich regelmäßig Touristen durch das Zentrum und bringe ihnen die Geheimnisse meiner Heimatstadt näher.

Nach München bin ich 1984 gezogen und habe dort an der LMU Politikwissenschaft, Geschichte und Sozialpsychologie studiert. Ab Mitte der 90er-Jahre war ich als Redakteur in einem Münchner Verlag tätig, zwischenzeitlich auch einige Zeit als Projektmanager bei einem IT-Unternehmen. Seit 2007 arbeite ich als Realschullehrer in München Moosach.

Steve

In September of 1981, I moved from Fairhaven, Massachusetts to Munich with a degree in German and a Massachusetts State Secondary School Teacher’s Certificate for German and English.

From 1981 until 2025 I worked with the growing Mittelstand companies in the greater Munich area as a coach for business English, negotiation skills and cultural awareness in international business. At the same time I worked as a translator/interpreter from German to English.

During the summer months from 1982 until 1998 I accompanied German tour groups from Munich to Vienna as a tour coordinator for theater weekends. I was deeply impressed by the knowledge and style of the professional Viennese tour guides we worked with.

After successfully completing a training program as a tour guide for Munich, I now accompany tourists from all over the world in the hope of enabling them to see this beautiful, historic city through my eyes and helping them to understand how one can fall in love with such a city at first sight.
